ECMO Therapy

ECMO Therapy

Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation is an exceptional therapy that delivers oxygen through the blood. It is applied for those patients suffering from respiratory or cardiac failure that lacks oxygen by removing excessive CO2. This procedure supports the whole body, especially when the heart and lungs are not functioning that well.

Our medical expertise makes sure that you stay out of problems through ECMO procedures. During ECMO Therapy,

  • The nurse helps the patient gets sedated. After providing sedation, they are then given pain medication.
  • A surgeon implants an ECMO catheter through either artery or vein.
  • The doctor checks the catheter implantation through X-Ray and then places the tube.
  • Once an ECMO procedure is done, doctors extract the catheter tube.
