Electrophysiology

Electrophysiology (or invasive cardiac electrophysiology) monitors the heart's electrical activities through a series of procedures. The heart's electrical system controls the timing of a patient's heartbeat. Through EP, our qualified cardiologists identify the signals based on the heartbeat.

Our qualified doctors can even let a patient identify whether he/she is suffering from arrhythmias. Treating Electrophysiology involves,

  • A nurse shoots sedation and anaesthesia to assure that a patient doesn't feel the pain of any sort.
  • A long catheter tube gets placed in three or more heart areas through the arms.
  • The doctor then implants a sheath tube through the blood vessel. The catheter tube is then connected to the heart with the help of a sheath.
  • Sensors present on the catheter carry forward the electrical signals.
